Where Wave is better
- Free double-entry bookkeeping alongside your invoices.
- Bank connections and receipt tracking, so expenses live in the same place.
- A payroll add-on if you employ people.
Where Mintvo is different
- Clients pay with the PayPal, Wise, Payoneer, Stripe or bank details you already use. Mintvo never holds the money and takes no cut, so it works wherever those services work.
- The home screen is your earnings: this month, this year and what's still owed, in your currency, converted at the rate on the day each invoice was paid.
- You see when a client opens the invoice and when they open your payment link or copy your details.
- Quotes your client accepts online, then one click to a draft invoice.
- It's small on purpose. There's no chart of accounts or bank feed to set up before your first invoice.
Questions
- Can I use Wave outside the US and Canada?
- Wave says it serves businesses in the US and Canada and stopped supporting other countries in 2020. Mintvo works anywhere, because clients pay through accounts you already have.
- Does Mintvo do bookkeeping like Wave?
- No. Mintvo sends invoices and quotes, sends reminders and shows your earnings. If you need books, Wave or an accounting tool is the better fit, and Mintvo's CSV export can feed one.
