Use Mintvo with Claude and ChatGPT

Connect your Mintvo account to an AI assistant and ask about your money in plain words. It reads your invoices, quotes and clients, and can prepare a draft invoice for you to check and send.

Things you can ask

Connect it

You need a Mintvo account. The server address is

Claude (web and desktop)

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Mintvo and paste https://api.mintvo.app/mcp as the URL.
  3. Click Connect, sign in to Mintvo, and choose Allow.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings, then Apps, and create a connector with developer mode on.
  2. Paste https://api.mintvo.app/mcp as the server URL and choose OAuth.
  3. Sign in to Mintvo when asked and choose Allow.

Claude Code

  1. Run: claude mcp add --transport http mintvo https://api.mintvo.app/mcp
  2. Then run /mcp and sign in.

Other apps

  1. Any app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth can connect to https://api.mintvo.app/mcp.

Questions

Is it safe to connect my invoices to an AI assistant?
The assistant only gets what Mintvo's connector allows: it can read invoices, quotes and clients, add clients and create drafts. It can't send anything, record payments, delete data or see your bank details. You approve each app once, and you can disconnect it any time in Settings.
Which apps can connect?
Claude, ChatGPT, VS Code, Cursor and apps running on your own computer, such as Claude Code. Mintvo checks where an app sends you back after you approve it, so an app that only borrows a familiar name is refused.
Will an invoice go to my client without me seeing it?
No. Invoices made through an assistant are always drafts. You get a link to review it in Mintvo, and you send it yourself.
Which plan do I need?
Any plan. The connector follows your plan's limits, so on the free plan drafts count towards your monthly invoices.
What does the AI provider see?
Only what the assistant asks Mintvo for while answering you, such as the invoices in a question about overdue payments. That data is then handled under the AI provider's own terms, the same as anything else you share in a chat.
How do I disconnect an assistant?
Go to Settings, then Profile, and choose Disconnect next to the app under Connected apps. Its access stops straight away. You also get an email every time an app is connected, so you'll notice one you don't recognise.
