Get paid faster: put payment links on your invoices
Updated · 4 min read
An invoice that only says 'please pay to the account below' asks the client to do work. An invoice with a pay button asks them to click. The second one gets paid sooner.
Offer the options your clients already use
You don't need every payment provider, just the two or three your clients are comfortable with.
- PayPal, Wise, Payoneer or Stripe payment links for clients who pay online
- Bank details for companies that pay by transfer
- Mobile wallets (such as JazzCash or Easypaisa) for local clients where those are common
Make account numbers easy to copy
On a PDF, the client has to retype your account number and can get a digit wrong. On a web invoice they can copy it with one tap and paste it straight into their banking app.
Mintvo shows each payment option on the shared invoice page with a pay button or a copy button. You also see in the invoice's activity when the client opened a link or copied a number, so you know a payment is probably on its way.
Put the payment options near the total
The client's eye goes to the amount due. Payment options right below it get used; options hidden in the footer get missed.
A note that works
Pay online with the button above, or by bank transfer. Reply to this email once it's sent so I can mark the invoice paid.
Questions
- Does Mintvo process payments or take a cut?
- No. Mintvo never holds your money. Payment goes straight from the client to your PayPal, Wise, Payoneer, Stripe, bank or wallet account.
- Can I add more than one payment option to an invoice?
- Yes. You can list several payment methods and bank accounts on one invoice and the client picks the one that suits them.
